Hamilton Road - PicachoTransmission Line Project


AEP Texas representatives plan to upgrade the local electric transmission grid in Val Verde County. The Hamilton Road - Picacho Transmission Line Rebuild Project involves upgrading about 8 miles of electric transmission line to enhance electric reliability for area customers.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

Crews plan to begin construction on the Buena Vista - Picacho transmission line that is part of this project on or around September 2024. You can expect to see crews in the field now preparing the right-of-way for construction, depending on weather and other factors. The company expects to finish construction along this section of the transmission line by December 2024.
