Findlay Area Improvements

AEP Ohio representatives announced the Findlay Area Improvements Project in the summer of 2016. Community members and landowners provided input about the project at an open house in July 2016. After reviewing public input, company representatives proposed upgrades to the local power grid and have since completed construction of two power lines.

    The remaining work includes:

    • Building approximately 5 miles of power line near North Baltimore
    • Rebuilding approximately 2 miles of power between New Liberty Substation and West Melrose Substation
    • Rebuilding about 2 miles of power line near North Findlay Substation

As the project continues to develop, AEP Ohio representatives are re-evaluating the 5-mile power line near North Baltimore. We are proposing and investigating additional route options.
