Findlay Area Improvements

AEP Ohio representatives announced the Findlay Area Improvements Project in the summer of 2016. Community members and landowners provided input about the project at an open house in July 2016. After reviewing public input, company representatives proposed upgrades to the local power grid and have since completed construction of two power lines. As the project continues to develop, AEP Ohio representatives plan to move forward with the final phase, which includes minor revisions to the original plan.

    The remaining work includes:

    • Building approximately 5 miles of power line near North Baltimore
    • Rebuilding approximately 2 miles of power between New Liberty Substation and West Melrose Substation
    • Rebuilding about 2 miles of power line near North Findlay Substation

The improvements help increase electric service reliability in the area and support economic development.

    Project Updates

Landowners along the proposed power line routes can expect to hear from Brandon Stine from O.R. Colan in the coming weeks. O.R. Colan serves as AEP Ohio’s right-of-way representative for this project. You can contact Brandon at (567) 207-8400 or bstine@orcolan.com.
