Celtic 345 kVStation Project

AEP Ohio representatives plan electric transmission upgrades in Jerome Township.

The Celtic 345 kV Station Project involves:

  • Building the 345-kilovolt (kV) Celtic Station on company property located near the intersection of Mitchell-Dewitt Road and Warner Road.
  • Connecting Celtic Station to the transmission grid.
  • Filings with the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB).

The new station provides an additional electric source to customer facilities and helps meet the area's growing electrical load demand.

Project Updates

December 2023: Company representatives filed a Letter of Notification for this project with the OPSB as the Celtic 345 kV Station Project, Case No. 23-1098-EL-BLN.
