Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) representatives plan to strengthen the electric transmission system in eastern Indiana. The proposed improvements in Grant and Madison counties involve rebuilding about 21 miles of 138-kilovolt (kV) power line. These improvements increase reliability, reduce power outages and speed recovery of service when outages occur.
The rebuild project takes place along the existing right-of-way.
