Appalachian Power representatives plan to upgrade the electric transmission grid by making upgrades in Bedford, and Campbell counties in Virginia. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2028 and for the project to be in service by late 2029.
September 4, 2026: Appalachian Power invites community members and landowners in the project area to an in-person open house to speak with project members to learn more. There is no formal presentation, so landowners can attend at any time at a location most convenient to them.
