AEP Texas representatives plan to upgrade the local power grid to increase electric reliability for customers in Val Verde County. The Hamilton Road - Maxwell Transmission Line Rebuild Project involves rebuilding approximately 29 miles of 138-kilovolt (kV) power line.
This project is endorsed by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) who oversees the electrical grid within the state of Texas.
