AEP Ohio representatives plan power grid upgrades in northern Vinton County. The project involves building just under 2 miles of 138-kilovolt transmission line and a switch to isolate equipment from the power grid. Upgrades improve power grid functionality and operation.
Late 2023: AEP Ohio crews plan to start construction in January and conclude late 2024. Property ROW LLC continues to serve as AEP Ohio’s right-of-way representative on this project. Landowners along the line route can expect to hear from Eric Correll, Lead Right-of-Way Agent on the project.
Summer 2023: The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) recently approved AEP Ohio's project applications (case no. 23-0123-EL-BLM, 23-0122-EL-BNR). AEP Ohio crews expect to begin construction in early 2024 and conclude fall 2024.
