AEP Ohio representatives plan power grid upgrades to improve electric reliability for Buckeye Power and Adams County Electric Cooperative customers. The project involves building about 4 miles of power line and upgrading an electrical substation.
Without this project, customers could experience temporary power outages during equipment maintenance.

Company representatives plan to build the power line in an approximate 60-foot right-of-way corridor and plan to acquire new property easements to ensure the safe construction, operation and maintenance of the line. Crews expect to begin construction fall 2022 and continue through fall 2024.
