The project strengthens the electric transmission system by providing an additional power source to the area and supports the growing demand for electricity. We are requesting feedback on possible study segments for the power line.
May 2022: I&M representatives announced the final proposed route for this project. Feedback provided from the community helped determine this route.
February: 2022: I&M representatives announced the White Pigeon Transmission Line Project and hosted a virtual open house from February 18-March 9 to gather feedback from landowners and community members about possible route options for the new transmission line. Company representatives also hosted two virtual town hall meetings on February 28 to learn more about the project and share input.
The project involves installing steel poles.
