Randolph CountyArea Improvements

I&M representatives plan to upgrade the electric transmission network serving customers in Randolph County. The Randolph County Area Improvements Project involves rebuilding about 19 miles of power line and upgrading two substations to increase electric reliability in the area.

Plans call for rebuilding some sections of the power line in the existing right-of-way, which could require updating or supplementing current easements. Other sections of the project may include re-routes that would require new easements.

Project Updates

November 2020: Property owners in the project area can expect to hear about next steps in the coming months. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the social distancing recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), I&M and its contractors are limiting in-person visits with property owners during this process to ensure the safety and health of the public and company representatives.
