Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) officials plan to upgrade the electric transmission network serving customers in eastern Muncie. The project involves upgrading about 3.5 miles of power line to increase electric reliability in the area. Plans call for rebuilding some sections of the line in the company's existing right-of-way and re-routing other sections of the line.
The company plans to install single steel poles.
