Conesville-West Millersport 765kV Transmission Line Project

AEP Transmission representatives plan to upgrade the transmission grid in Coshocton, Muskingum, Licking, and Fairfield counties to help keep electricity flowing safely and reliably now and into the future.

This project involves upgrading approximately 50 miles of existing 345-kilovolt (kV) transmission line within existing right-of-way to 765-kV capacity, and constructing up to 14 miles of new 765-kV transmission line to connect the line to the proposed West Millersport Substation.

Some property owners may have received communications from Grid Growth Ventures about a separate transmission project in the area. Both projects help address regional transmission needs identified through PJM's planning process, which oversees the transmission grid in Ohio. While the projects are being developed by different companies, both are designed to support future electric reliability. If you have questions regarding potential property impacts associated with a Grid Growth project, please visit GridGrowthVentures.com for more information.

Next Steps

Company representatives plan to use the information collected during this process to develop a preferred route. Additional outreach and public meetings will be held once a preferred route has been identified.

Following that process, company representatives will submit an application to the OPSB showing that the preferred route balances stakeholder interests while enabling service to the customer.
