Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) plans to strengthen the transmission system in eastern Indiana. The improvements in Delaware County would increase reliability, lessen power outages, and speed recovery of service when outages occur.

A public Open House will be held to gather input from local residents. Representatives from I&M will be available to discuss specific aspects of the project and to answer questions residents may have. Feedback from the community will be gathered from this event and used to help determine the final proposed line route. The Open House will be informal, and can be attended at any time during the evening and is scheduled for Thursday, June 20 from 5:30 PM-7:30 PM at the Yorktown High School Cafeteria, 1100 South Tiger Drive, Yorktown, IN.

I&M will build the line with steel monopole structures averaging 75-feet in height. Structures will be placed within a 60-foot right-of-way. I&M is committed to meeting the energy needs of customers while protecting the environment and natural beauty of the region.
