Clarendon – Childress Transmission Line Rebuild Project

    Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) plans to make improvements to the local electric transmission system to ensure continued reliable power delivery to the area.

    The Clarendon-Childress transmission line rebuild project consists of rebuilding about 60 miles of 69-kilovolt (kV) Transmission line to ensure continued reliable electric service to customers.

    Construction is expected to start in the fall and be completed by the end of 2019.

    Project Updates

    SWEPCO held a come-and-go informational open house on Thursday, June 8 from 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Barfield Activity Center in Clarendon.
