Dublin West Innovation District Improvements

    AEP Ohio plans to strengthen the electric transmission system in the Dublin West Innovation District.

    The project involves:

    • Building about 3 miles of power line
    • Upgrading two substations
    • This project requires Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) approval

    The improvements:

    • Provide an additional power source
    • Support economic development
    • Increase electric reliability

    Plans call for installing steel, single-pole structures about 90 feet tall and placing the structures in an approximate 80-foot wide right-of-way corridor. Work begins in Fall 2020

    AEP Ohio is currently investigating modified study segments for this project.

    Project Updates

    Late 2019: A public open house took place on September 23, 2019. Company representatives answered questions and gathered input from local residents. Study segments are currently being evaluated.
