AEP Ohio and AEP Ohio Transmission Company, Inc. plan to upgrade their transmission facilities in northern Ohio to support an interconnection with an independent power provider.
The Sharon Township - Vernon Township Transmission Line Project involves building approximately one-half mile of new 138-kilovolt (kV) transmission line and adding about 4 miles of new wires to existing steel lattice towers. Construction is expected to begin in early 2019 and complete summer 2019.
AEP Ohio announced the Sharon Township - Vernon Township Transmission Line Project in August of 2018.
