North Jackson Transmission Line

Power grid upgrades are under way to strengthen the electric system in Jackson and Ross counties. AEP Ohio and local electric cooperatives are coordinating efforts on the Jackson-Ross County Area Improvements project. The approximate $75 million investment by AEP Ohio involves building 35 miles of power line, building three substations and upgrading other electrical facilities to increase service reliability and support economic growth.

The North Jackson 138-kV Transmission Line Project is part of the multi-phase Jackson-Ross County Area Improvements project. This phase involves building approximately 4 miles of power line to 138-kV standards in Coal and Lick townships.
