AEP Ohio plans to perform maintenance on about 2 miles of transmission and distribution power poles and lines. The new line will be built mostly adjacent to the road and within road right-of-way. The work is scheduled to last about 5 months.
Beginning in June, AEP Ohio plans to continue to ensure the reliability of the electric service in central Tuscarawas County. AEP Ohio is replacing aged wood structures with new poles. This maintenance will help ensure the continued reliability of power to your home or business.
To allow crews to safely perform this work, portions of roads may be closed or reduced to one lane during construction activities. AEP Ohio will work with the city of New Philadelphia, state agencies and first responders to ensure the work can be completed safely with as little inconvenience to motorists as possible.
Maintenance is underway on this project. Construction is currently underway on 4th Drive Southwest. Construction is scheduled to run Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm.
