AEP Ohio representatives announced the Findlay Area Improvements Project in the summer of 2016. Community members and landowners provided input about the project at an open house in July 2016. After reviewing public input, company representatives proposed upgrades to the local power grid and have since completed construction of two power lines.

As the project continues to develop, AEP Ohio representatives are re-evaluating the 5-mile power line near North Baltimore. We are proposing and investigating additional route options.
Summer 2023: Company representatives began construction on the line and expect completion in fall 2024.
November 2020: As a result of the social distancing recommendations made by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), we invite you to join us for a virtual open house to learn more about the project and share your input, particularly on possible route options for the new 5-mile power line. Provide comments using the contact form at the bottom of this page. Please share your input by Monday, November 30.
AEP Ohio will build new steel, single pole structures that will be between 80 and 100-feet tall. The structures will be placed in the center of an approximate 100-foot wide right-of-way corridor.
