Cabin Creek - Clendenin Transmission Line Rebuild Project

Appalachian Power and its affiliate, AEP West Virginia Transmission Company, Inc., plan to increase electric reliability to customers in Kanawha County by making upgrades to the existing transmission grid.

The Cabin Creek - Clendenin Transmission Line Rebuild Project consists of upgrading approximately 18 miles of transmission line to 69-kilovolt standards. Existing substations along the transmission line will also be upgraded to accommodate the increase in voltage.

Construction is expected to start fall 2018 and be complete by the end of 2020.
