Haviland - Van WertTransmission Line Rebuild Project


The Haviland - Van Wert Transmission Line Rebuild project enhances the electric transmission system in Paulding and Van Wert counties. The approximately $20 million investment is critical due to an aging system and to accommodate for the region’s future growth.

Project components include:

  • Rebuilding approximately 12-miles of existing 69 kilovolt (kV) transmission line
  • Building approximately 2-miles of new 69 kV line
  • Removing approximately 2-miles of line

Project Updates

Summer 2023: Construction is ongoing and is scheduled to be completed summer 2023.

Early 2020: Construction is anticipated to begin in Spring 2020. Crews may be walking or using various equipment throughout the process.
