McKinley - West StateTransmission Line Rebuild Project

Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) representatives plan to upgrade the electric transmission network serving customers in western Fort Wayne. The project involves rebuilding about 3 miles of transmission line and upgrading a substation. The project increases electric reliability in the area. Plans call for rebuilding the transmission line in the existing right-of-way, although company representatives might need to acquire new easements or supplement current easements to ensure the safe construction, operation and maintenance of the line.
